Gear: Lighting

Our architectural shooting style is to use natural lighting rather than supplementing with flash or other lighting. The reason is quite simple the designers of the space we are photographing went to great lengths and no doubt expense to create the lighting atmosphere and for us to sanitise this with artificial light isn’t our preference. That said sometime we need to add a flash frame to be used in our post production stages, it helps clean up certain elements where the see colour casts and its easier to remove this at the time of shooting.

Speedlites, strobes and LED panels

We use Canon speedlites coupled with wireless Pocket Wizards this combination allows us to control out power and can have it fitted on our camera without using it.
